The U.S. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) has issued a Notice of Preparation for a California Offshore Wind Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS), which means that environmental review of the two wind energy lease areas offshore of Humboldt is now underway.
BOEM will host two virtual sessions for the public to learn more about the Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement, ask questions, and provide comments. Those are happening as follows:
