Native Cultures Fund
I grew in and around Del Norte County and greater Northern California/Southern Oregon. Understanding the importance of thinking of and caring for our world and all its inhabitants has been the foundation of my entire life. My earliest memories are of my desire to help my community, especially the future generations. I grew up deeply knowing how important our natural world and each living being is.
After completing college, I supported my childhood goal for nearly two decades as a professional public school educator in Humboldt and Del Norte Counties. I was honored to teach all grades TK-12, and served as program directors and an administrator. In that professional life, I was able to develop deep bonds with many and support all parts of my community.
As I transitioned into a new role, it was important for me to hold tight to those connections and continue supporting and be of service to my community. My desire of service, growth, and care led me to joining the team at HAF/WRCF. Since 2018 I have been honored to work in many roles within the Grantmaking team. These days my work home sits with the Native Cultures Fund (NCF). I am honored to devote my professional life to supporting the cultural revitalization of Indigenous people within our service area and beyond.
