I moved to Humboldt County in 2016 from Ceres, CA – a small town in the Central Valley— to pursue a degree in history education at Cal Poly Humboldt. Originally, my intention was to become a K-12 educator, but when I graduated in spring of 2020 at the cusp of a global pandemic, I realized once and for all that the future I had imagined for myself could not be found in a classroom. Instead, I decided to follow my passion for social justice and community organizing.
As Coordinator of Strategy, Program, and Community Solutions, I look forward to engaging with the beautiful and vibrant community I have become a part of.
