When I decided to move to Humboldt County in 2001 I immediately recognized that this was a very special kind of community where passionate people find ways to come together to accomplish incredible things, and I knew I wanted to be a part of that. I joined the team at Humboldt Area Foundation in 2010, starting in a support position in the community strategies department. Now in my role, I find such joy in utilizing my seventeen years of administrative experience to provide behind-the-scenes support to our staff so that they can do the remarkable work of connecting community members to the resources required to create positive changes in our region. Whether I am using my organizational skills to manage our facilities, supervise our operations team, facilitate the hiring process, or coordinate internal safety and customer service, each day at HAF brings new adventures and challenging puzzles that I look forward to jumping into.
