James joined the finance team at the Foundation in the summer of 2015. Prior to working with the Foundation, they worked as a bookkeeper for the local energy-efficient refrigerator manufacturer Sun Frost. James loves numbers, puzzles, and doing things the right way – all things that lend themselves to non-profit accounting. They work with an amazing team to manage the Foundation’s endowment, distribute funds into the community, maintain our internal controls, oversee financial processes, and complete our annual audits.

James has a degree in Mathematics and a minor in Physics from Humboldt State University. A native of San Diego, they’ve lived on the North Coast since 2008. They spend their free time enjoying the beauty of the North Coast, volunteering on various Boards and Committees, and working on their 100+ year-old home in Eureka.
