Craig Woods is the Departmental Director for Programs & Community Partnerships whose role includes assessing and prioritizing the foundation’s resources and community-based research to optimize the foundation’s programs, initiatives, and incubated projects to meet the needs of the most vulnerable. He, in collaboration with the VP, sets workloads and priorities for the team and is part of the foundation’s leadership team working on strategic problem solving and implementation. He has worked for the community foundation since 2014 and has held many roles where he has managed and coached teams through growth and re-organization, managed grantmaking, carried out and supported the charitable vision of donors and funders, and implemented equity and trust based policies and decision making.
Craig graduated from Cal Poly Humboldt in 2013 with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management. He has been involved with the non-profit sector since 2007 having served on various boards, including Big Brothers Big Sisters of the North Coast and Ferndale Repertory Theatre, and worked at Northern California Community Blood Bank for seven years.
When he isn’t working, you’ll find Craig walking his beloved Chihuahua and Corgi, laughing with family and friends, watching movies, listening to and singing music, running or biking, reading, and counting down the days to the holidays! Craig lives in Eureka, CA on the ancestral lands of the Wiyot Tribe.
