Meeting & Event Space – Humboldt Area Foundation

In service to community betterment and nonprofit convening, HAF+WRCF offers small event and meetings spaces at both our Bayside and Crescent City offices free of charge during our business hours to eligible groups. Room rentals are subject to staffing and availability. Please fill out the reservation inquiry form below to make a request.

Reservation scheduling & availability

Events can be scheduled up to three months in advance. Rental inquiries submitted less than two weeks in advance of your event cannot be accommodated.
In general, we are not able to provide event space for ongoing/reoccurring meetings or events such as monthly Board or committee meetings.
Requests for events outside of our regular business hours require specialized staffing and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
We can provide light assistance with IT support and troubleshooting but will not be available to run tech throughout the duration of your event.

Eligibility Requirements

Rooms may be used by nonprofit 501(c)3 organizations, community groups, municipalities, schools or educational institutions, non-partisan groups, Tribal Nations, and some government organizations. Groups meeting these criteria will be further vetted based on the nature of their event and its charitable or community-driven purpose. The Foundation’s internal use of the meeting spaces is prioritized, and preference will be given to groups who support underserved communities and align with our strategic goals.

The use of the space must be consistent with practices that reflect values promoted by the Foundation – those of community, empathy, and equity, and that does not discriminate on any federally protected basis or those of state, local laws or ordinances, and Foundation policies.

Examples of groups and events we are not able to accommodate include private events (such as weddings, retirement, or holiday parties), religious groups, partisan political groups or activities, for-profit groups or meetings where event fees or onsite sales are intended for profit.

Bayside Room: Nilsen Room (maximum capacity 12, seated)

Bayside Room: Emmerson Room (maximum capacity 55 standing, 40 seated)

Please note that the chairs, tables, and lectern are stored in closets located in the meeting room and can be arranged or removed/stored as desired
