Humboldt Area Foundation + Wild Rivers Community Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2025 Holiday Funding Partnership grant program through October 2, 2025.
The Holiday Funding Partnership Program, made possible by the North Coast Grantmaking Partnership, offers grants to charitable organizations providing winter holiday assistance programs in our region. The program must serve Humboldt, Del Norte, Trinity, and/or Curry County and take place between November 15 and January 1. Grants average between $500 to $2,000.
“The winter season can be an incredibly challenging time of the year for many members of our community, and we have a deep gratitude for the nonprofits in our region that provide necessary programs to care for families and meet the seasonal needs of our neighbors,” says Keri Mosey, HAF+WRCF Senior Program Officer.
The grant program is supported through funding partners, including the Mel & Grace McLean Foundation, the Patricia D. & William B. Smullin Foundation, and Providence Community Health Investment.
In 2024, HAF+WRCF provided over $73,000 in grants to 65 unique charitable organizations. Many agencies provided hosted holiday dinners for community members, including the Holiday Food Support provided through Southern Humboldt Family Resource Center, as well as Food for People’s Eureka Choice Pantry Holiday Food Distribution. Some organizations provided resources more specifically to children and caregivers, such as Bicoastal Media’s Coats for Kids and Northern United Charter Schools’ Family Holiday Basket Program.
