I grew up in our State’s Capital, Sacramento, moving to McKinleyville for high school. I immediately fell in love with the area for its natural beauty and strong sense of community, choosing to stay and raise my three kids here, with my youngest still in high school. I joined the Humboldt Area Foundation team in the Spring of 2019, having transitioned out of an administrative role in the Northern Humboldt Union High School District at Arcata High School, where I helped promote student activism and inclusion in Challenge Days, Every 15 Minutes, and Peer Counseling. I am thrilled to be working towards HAF’s mission of promoting and encouraging generosity, leadership, and inclusion to strengthen our community.
