Dear Friends,

Looking back over the past year, I’m continually inspired by the generosity and resilience that define our region. In March, I had the honor of stepping into the role of Chief Executive Officer at the Foundation. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of meeting many of you—listening to your thoughts, concerns, and ideas for strengthening our community. These conversations have been a powerful reminder of the deep commitment we all share to care for one another and the place we call home.
In the stories we compiled, you’ll read about long-standing programs continue to offer steady support, while new initiatives are rising to meet today’s challenges. Each reflects our commitment to community-led solutions. These efforts are made possible by generous donors.
You’ll find stories about scholarships, donor advised and designated grants, and other annual programs that demonstrate how community contributions help the Foundation respond to needs across every corner of our community. You’ll also find examples of investments made possible by generous philanthropic partners: The Klamath River Fund (pg.20) has awarded $1.57 million in grants and sponsorships to support post-dam removal recovery in the Klamath River Basin. Meanwhile, the Redwood Region Climate and Community Resilience Hub (pg. 30) launched the $3.3 million Tribal Climate Action Fund to help our region’s Tribal Nations address the effects of climate change and build long-term resilience.
On behalf of all of us at HAF+WRCF, we extend our sincere thanks to everyone who helped make this an impactful and meaningful year. We truly appreciate your partnership and look forward to continuing our work together as we embrace the challenges and opportunities ahead.
With deep gratitude,
Sara Dronkers
CEO
