HAF+WRCF is pleased to announce the opening of the HAF+WRCF 2024 scholarship season, running from January 15 through March 4, 2024. With the generous support of donors, HAF+WRCF is offering over 185 scholarships for the 2024-25 academic school year, providing vital assistance to students pursuing various forms of postsecondary education.
These scholarships, ranging from $250 to $10,000, have been established not only by individual donors, but also by regional businesses, clubs, organizations, and schools. The diverse range of scholarships reflects a commitment to honoring loved ones, supporting access to higher education, and improving the lives of students as they pursue their diverse ambitions.

Students pursuing associate degrees, bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees, and degrees and certifications from career, vocational, or technical schools are eligible to apply. The scholarships, many of which have been in existence for decades, aim to offer long-term support to students in HAF+WRCF’s service region of Humboldt, Del Norte, Trinity, and Curry counties.
The deadline to apply for these scholarships is midnight on March 4th. Students will apply though the streamlined process of the Universal Application. This application serves as a convenient platform, connecting current and prospective students to numerous educational funding opportunities through a single application.
Sydney Morrone, Grants & Scholarships Manager for HAF+WRCF, highlighted the significance of these scholarships, stating, “The Universal Application reduces barriers for students, both current and future, to tap into thousands of dollars in educational funding—all with just one application. Some of our scholarships have been supporting students for decades. We’re honored to offer these resources and help students take the next steps in their educational journey.”
Over $900,000 will be awarded through these scholarships. While most scholarships are primarily intended for and offered to students in HAF+WRCF’s service region of Humboldt, Del Norte, Trinity and Curry counties, some scholarships are available to national or global applicants.
