Happy Holidays!

The Angel Fund provides small grants to support the unmet health needs of Humboldt County residents. Requests must be made through a qualified sponsor (such as a recognized social service agency, school counselor, or medical provider); individuals in need of support may not apply for themselves. Grants are made on a one-time basis, per person, per 365-day period. Items that are of a recurrent nature are generally not funded.

Average Grant Size: Grants range from $50 – $250, (grants in excess of $500 are seldom approved). Decisions to grant funds are contingent upon funding criteria and the availability of funds at the time of review.

Processing Time
There is a two-week turnaround time required for application review and check processing. The committee meets every Tuesday, with the exception of holidays. Occasionally the committee will ask for additional information before making a decision. This will often result in a longer turn-around time.

Application Process
All applications must be complete and submitted each Thursday by 12:00 pm to be considered by the committee the following Tuesday.

You may view a Virtual Tutorial of the Application Process, here.
