When Steve took a tour of the radiation oncology department at St. Joseph Hospital, it struck a chord. It reminded him of relatives and friends who had battled cancer, some of whom had to travel far to receive treatment.
He decided to do something unusual for someone his young age of 39. Steve made a planned gift to the cancer program at St. Joseph Hospital. “It is never too early to have an estate plan and formalize it with an estate attorney, and discuss it with your children and other family members,” he said. “No matter your age, the future can change at any moment and it is important to have a plan. Helping ensure quality health care for my children’s children is a great feeling.”
