The Trinity Trust is an umbrella organization that oversees 23 individual trusts and funds dedicated to helping the residents of Trinity County.
The following trusts and funds compose the Trinity Trust:
Gilbert Henry Gates C.R.U. Trust of 1993
This Fund will eventually benefit the Coffee Creek Volunteer Fire Department, Trinity County Free Library, the Trinity County Historical Society and other charitable organizations.
Gates Family Endowment Fund
This Fund supports charitable organizations in and for Trinity County.
Gilbert F. Gates Remainder Unitrust of 1998
This Fund benefits various charities within Trinity County.
Gilbert F. Horney, Jr., Fund
This Fund supports various charitable work in the Trinity region.
Giles F. Horney, Jr., Fund in Memory of Tom J. McCoy, Steven James Smith & Helen A. Maxey & Giles & Harriet Horney, Bill & Marlys Hall & Al & Marne Wilkins
This fund will provide scholarships to support students attending college or vocational school.
Trinity Trust Endowment Fund
This fund was created with a gift from Trinity County residents, with additional funds provided by Reverend Charles H. Baldwin and an anonymous donor.
Trinity Trust Expendable Fund
This Fund is composed of local donations that have made numerous grants possible throughout Trinity, especially helping young people experience summer camp.
Weaverville Cemeteries Endowment Fund
This Fund will annually and in perpetuity provide funding for such purposes as replacement of deteriorating headstones, maintenance, care and beautification of public cemetery areas and education of the community regarding the cemeteries’ pioneer history.
Young Family Trust
This Fund supports the work of the Young Family Ranch (YFR), a 3-acre community-trust farmstead in the heart of Weaverville’s historic district.
