The Jack Montoya Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to support Native people who are California residents and show genuine support of and actively promote cultural revitalization.
Federally and non-federally recognized Indigenous people are eligible to apply.
The scholarship is open to students who will be actively enrolled in and attending four year universities or graduate school programs.
Students chosen for support will receive at least $2,500 for undergraduates and $5,000 for graduate students in financial support.
The application portal for the Jack Montoya Memorial Scholarship Fund opens in winter, with a deadline of March 31 annually.

- IMPORTANT: You are being asked to create a video with a mentor for submission. Please allow time to complete your video before the submission deadline. Instructions and conversation prompts are included in the application.
