I moved to Humboldt, from Siskiyou County, in 2013 to complete my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. I am in my tenth year of living in Humboldt, and as each year passes, I’ve grown to learn and love this area exponentially. Since my graduation in 2015, I have established my career through the local university and nonprofit sector, focusing on mental health advocacy. After six years of working in direct service with college students, youth-at-potential, and underserved populations in our area – I am elated to be a part of the HAF team, as Program Coordinator of Grants, to further support our community through altruistic and strategic response efforts.
In my free time, I love to spend time with my family in nature or at home with our two cats, Chillona and Charlie, and our sweet Akita mix, Miss Yoda. Yoda loves her walks on the beach, trips to Starbucks to get puppuccinos, and flopping around in tall grass. The cats mostly love [us for] food.
